I love parodies. That is why when I read Neil Gaiman’s parodies of gods and nursery rhymes characters, I totally loved him for it. And now that I was introduced to Star Diaries of Stanislaw Lem, I was mindblown. There, he parodied even the most common things in the world, and it was a hilarious read. I was also introduced to a Solaris audiobook. Actually, I heard this first before reading Star Diaries, and it was like they were written by two different authors. Though both of them explore nonhuman life, the emotions that the books pull from the reader are different. For me, the Diaries is humorous while Solaris is haunting.
Reading him is an exhilarating experience and I am SO wanting more of him.
